It’s the season for gingerbread and 34 gingerbread houses fill the lobby of William Beaumont Army Medical Center.

The Fort Bliss hospital started a gingerbread house contest last year during the pandemic to raise spirits for patients and staff. Now, it’s an annual holiday tradition.

Angela Kocherga was there when the winners were announced on Dec. 20 and she produced this audio postcard. It features hospital activities chairperson Dr. Nina Shah and some of the team members who put their baking and building skills to the test and won first place in the contest.
